Raising your grade by one full letter (10 points) requires strong final performance. With a 30% final, you need about 113% to jump 10 points — meaning a full letter-grade rescue usually requires the final to be worth 40%+.

A full letter-grade jump is achievable in courses where the final is worth 40% or more.
